What do you mean by 'Philippine assembled'? One that is assembled here by parts imported from elsewhere, or one whose main components, e.g. motherboards and support circuitry are assembled here? If it's the former, heck, it's done here all the time. I must have done it many times myself, and I'm sure almost everyone here has done it at least once. If you mean the latter, then I don't think we have the technological infrastructure to do it. Modern motherboards are complex beasts, and I think there are only very few places here that are capable of making multilayer PCB's with surface mount devices and all the bells and whistles. My previous job involved an embedded system design that used surface mount devices and we had to bend over backwards to do it... And why would you want to do it in the first place?
