I hope you don't mind, but I just wanted to make a suggestion:

Since the PC would me massed produced/assembled wouldn't it be better if you
would just contract someone to configure linux for one PC and maybe
duplicate the disk to the other pc's at a lower cost?

You see I was thinking if it would be possible to setup a PC and sell it for
around 10 ~ 15K each.  I think that offering a PC at that price range would
make it truly a low cost system and accessible to more people.
