i take it you're asking me and not Migz.  

yes, back then it was the one that had the filesystem corrupting bug (exact 
version forgotten, but google knows.  google knows everything :). after the 
crash and corruption i reinstalled back to 2.4.8 that comes with mandrake, 
and then up to 2.5.0.  haven't gotten around to upgrading any further.  don't 
really need to.  i just upgraded from 2.4.8 because there were some things 
i needed that weren't in the stock  kernel (or maybe they were and i
just upgraded due to superstition).
