trashed?  or thrashed?  i can understand why it might thrash.  but trashing
to me is either hang and fsck and maybe lose some files (very rarely the
last, but it could happen... sure happens a lot in windows) or worse (i lost an
entire partition to that filesystem corrupting bug that just got fixed :).  and i
tried to run an unattended auto-fix fsck!  after 8X+N (x>2) hours i gave up and 
reinstalled na lang.  i would have given up after the first three or four hours
except i went home to crash and decided to let the PC keep running na lang.
