Hello everybody! =)
In addition with my previous post regarding my kernel 2.4.16.9 upgrade problem, I
noticed that the error messages just like below:
---
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0000001c
/etc/rc0.d/S01halt: line -76: 5401 segmentation fault $*
---
only appears when I only SHUTDOWN my computer. If I only REBOOT my computer, those
error messages like those written above, don't appear.
Also, I entered the command of:
---
# fsck -a /dev/hda
---
it produced an error message of:
---
fsck 1.24a (02-Sep-2001)
fsck.ext2: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/hda
(null):
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2
filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
e2fsck -b 8193 <device>
fsck 1.24a (02-Sep-2001)
---
BTW, my partitions are:
---
Filesystem Type Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda12 ext2 1.9G 77M 1.7G 5% /
/dev/hda5 ext2 7.6M 3.3M 3.9M 46% /boot
none tmpfs 188M 0 187M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/hda7 xfs 2.0G 53M 1.9G 3% /home
/dev/hda1 vfat 3.7G 3.0G 751M 81% /mnt/windows
/dev/hda9 xfs 1.5G 498M 1.0G 32% /opt
/dev/hda10 xfs 1.0G 58M 996M 6% /tmp
/dev/hda6 xfs 3.9G 1.6G 2.2G 41% /usr
/dev/hda11 xfs 3.4G 144k 3.4G 1% /usr/projects
/dev/hda8 xfs 536M 98M 439M 19% /var
---
Any additional ideas?
Thanks in advance. =)
God bless...
