Well, some of us did give you a technical answer as far as we can go.
The rest of finding it out why would be up to you. Doing otherwise is
spoonfeeding - do you like someone masticate your food before giving
it to you?

This mailing list is not a court of opinion, nor a judge's sala. This
is a Linux users' group. We cater to questions pertaining to the Linux
OS, maybe post for advocacy issues. Some of us may vilify Windows for
all its worth... well, some don't. Though we might address some issues
regarding windows and integrating them to Linux systems, some of the
people here are not akin to Windows advocacy, and we must respect them.
The general rule is adjust your mindset to what is perceived to be the
general climate in an environment - "In Rome, do what the Romans do."
In PLUG, adjust to the language game played by PLUGgers. Heck, even
animals adapt to their environment instead of being incredibly stubborn.

The most important thing that a computer scientist must have, however,
is proper confuct. Seems you don't have this quality. Be it that you're
a Windows user or some other OS user you need this. Lack this - you don't
deserve to be one. Or maybe you don't deserve anything at all.

>The reason I called Eric Pareja an IDIOT was because he was flamebaiting me!!!

One thing I learned from him is not to underestimate people, and I thank him
for that. That is no sane excuse for saying anyone is an idiot. I'm not
undermining your skill (heck I'm just a comsci student in UP, and I don't
have an outstanding academic record of excellence), but you better know
who you are saying "You're an IDIOT" to. You don't know him quite yet. I
don't know him as well as the others do, though we've met a couple of times
already. Even so, it doesn't give me the divine right of insulting anyone.

Well, I don't buy that idea. I still maintain that I highly
prefer Linux over Windows. I see features in Linux that are far
superior than what Microsoft has peddled in the market for
the past so many years. But what I value now most is the
freedom of choice. It simply isn't morally right to force
other people to use Linux - we would be the same as Microsoft
then. As I mentioned in a parallel post, we seek to educate
people that they have a choice - we don't make the choice for
them. Some people here in the mailing list may hold GNU/Linux
in a different perspective akin to fanaticism, but I don't
care - they're entitled to it. As the great Voltaire stated:
"I may not like what you say, but I'll defend to the end the
right for you to say it."

I see nothing wrong using free software in a proprietary environment,
though it would be far better if they'd use free software totally.

Seems that there's a problem in the respect for dissenting ideas.

Baahh... No need. Initially made fun of your post simply because it didn't
work in my case, nor with others I know. You're just very lucky to have a
very robust setup of Windows, for experiences of many others prove otherwise.

As I've said, be tactful and respect the views of other people here in the
mailing list. Not all people hold the same views, but when that firey post
came out, it should've reckoned to your brain that "oops... I better stop".
Only fools fight in a burning house. It's best to be sensitive to them -
don't fan the flames. You presented the technical merits of your argument,
but then you made a big mistake of deriding people here in the mailing list.
