Your original post was as others pointed out was
A subtle Troll. To be more specific, your doing
a classic known as "sweeping generalization".
It always happen in slashdot. :)

Consider your posts:

You said: "To be completely honest - Win 2K rulez.
More than Linux ever did. Why?"

That in itself is debatable. You have judged
already that "win2k rulez". IMHO, no OS rulez.
As an IT proffesional, appropriate OS for an
appropriate project or application. Will you
still use win2k say, for a Terabyte database
since win2k rulez?

You said: "#1. Drivers + Applications + Desktop
Environment Maturity"

Drivers. Because windows has a lot of drivers?
What if I say Linux has UFS FS driver while
windows doesnt and you really need it.
Does linux or win2k rulez?

Applications. Debian has 3000+ apps. Win2k
has a 100+ or more. Does linux or win2k rulez?

Desktop Environment Maturity. That is relative.
Others may swear Linux is a better Desktop Env.
And vice-versa with windows. For me, windows
Has an edge here.

You said: Rock solid. A very nice development
environment especially with Cygwin installed.
You can develop both Windoze AND *ix stuff.
Heck you can even use XFree86 under Cygwin! (OK,
I'm a RedHat fan in this case.)

Im using win2k myself everyday, and Its indeed
stable compared to windows. Compared to Linux,
Debatable and win2k has to prove it with hard facts.

Bottomline is, No OS rulez or is perfect.

Some Of your comments are indeed correct and some
are Wrong. Problem is, Some responded to you in a
flawed manner, so you were given good arguments to
rebut them. And suddenly, some misinformed people
actually think you are maybe correct after all!

Lastly, you are doing a sweeping generalization
again by saying that "Perhaps the list should be
called Philippine Linux FANATICS Group instead?"
I for one is not a linux fanatic. Just happens
to be my fave OS. Look at my previous post for
hard facts if you want.

I must commend you for an excellent Troll... :)
