|=>This morning, I drove my wife to Quezon City Hall
|=>so that she can pay the real estate taxes of the
|=>company she works for. She was there at 7:30 am
|=>and was number 20 in a queue that grew to several hundred
|=>later in the day. She finished part of what she came
|=>for at 10:40 am. She has to come back another day to
|=>complete her transactions.
|=>
|=>My wife said that she was delayed because there was
|=>something wrong with the QC computer system. It seems that
|=>the person in charge of printing the "Order of Payment"
|=>was very apologetic and kept saying, "Pasensiya na
|=>kayo at mabagal. Nag hang na naman ho." I am pretty
|=>sure that Quezon City Hall does not yet use Linux.
|=>Is "Windows" the culprit here?
|=>
|=>Quezon City Hall is not delivering services promptly.
|=>Isn't is our job in the list to give advise on OS matters
|=>that affect government delivery of basic services?
|=>
|=>PMana

Their backend I think is runing on SCO UNix but the UI is in telnet via windows which
most likely the culprit. I saw it when I accompanied a friend to pay local taxes.
