I never got to use Trumpet Winsock, but I did get to use the TCP/IP
programs bundled with OS/2 Warp 3. WebExplorer was really outdated during
1995 so I had to use Netscape for Windows 3.1 with Windows running under
OS/2. But then came Netscape 2.02 for OS/2, and it rocked.
I also remember trying Linux for a desktop in 1998. StarOffice for Linux
wasn't free yet and was a little experimental. But when I tried LyX, it
shook my world! It had everything I need for a word processor. Eventhough
it was stil a pre-1.0 release, I really liked it. I might be using
StarOffice more often now, but LyX consumes really little memory. TeX will
crunch much space on older low capacity hard disks, though.
