A search capability would be a nice feature. For example, if you were interested in finding out about something - or were looking for answers from the PLUG archive - you have to wade through all the threads - the January 2002 archive alone is 300+KB gzipped - so how large would that be gunzipped? It's good that somebody was asking about the search capability from the newbie list. Maybe it means they were looking for answers. One of the proper behavior in mailing lists is to first search the mailing list archive (if existing) before posting a question to the mailing list. This saves time/effort/resources for the subscribers of the mailing list as the question might have been already answered before. BTW, I'm not subscribed to the PLUG newbie list - neither to the other PLUG lists (org, etc.) I'm just subscribed to the main PLUG mailing list. The posts from the PLUG list already fills up my Hotmail account. There are times when I could not read email from my Hotmail account (busy) and days later I found out that my account has already exceeded its quota. What I do is delete mails from the mailing lists without reading them. Then I just read from the archives when I do have the extra time. Regards, -- Joshua L.
