What you are doing is not backup,
You are simply mirroring your data
on a remote server.

people in the slashdot forum are confused
with backup issues as well. :)

True backup is when you can say, "Restore
from tapes the file /etc/passwd 4 years ago."
mirroring your data can't do that.
