This is a wise path. And it is the path that I took. When I began using Star Office I had to port some excel files and indeed I had conversion problems. But it did not take me long to do it (It would be wise to just port those that are really necessary) After that I just began creating new spreadsheet files with StarCalc and I am very satisfied with it. I am not a programmer but I am of the opionion that I use StarCalc's functionality extensively. I run our office database using StarCalc. Holden _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
