This seems to be the easiest solution so far with regards to the telco part
of the project.  Our problem now is what to use to get those text messages
to output like IRC.  I guess Linux has tons of solutions for it, we better
do some digging...

Making our own gateway looks interesting, too, but seems too much paperwork,
etc.  Also, I'm not sure if there would be any advantage to having our own
gateway just for the purposes I mentioned.

Your replies and ideas surely helped a lot.  I think the solutions here are
already half the battle.  Thanks chiefs!
