its my habit that i always created a symbolic link from the following

/boot/System.map-x.y.z to /boot/System.map
/boot/vmlinuz-x.y.z to /boot/vmlinuz
/boot/module-info-x.y.z to /boot/module-info
/boot/initrd-x.y.z to /boot/initrd

in order to be consistent to old and new program.

fooler.
