we are using jabber 1.4.1 (older version) internally here in our company. we use yahoo and MSN transports to talk to yahoo and hotmail/msn users. it works very well; the only features that don't work when it comes to transports are file transfer and voice chat. which is not really needed anyway. so far the ICQ and AIM transports are problematic, no thanks to their frequent modification of their (proprietary) protocols. i just haven't bothered to check if the updated transports already are working. -andre _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
