Hi superman,
If the file rc.local modified in Microsoft Notepad and copied to linux, when you view
it in linux, there's an ^M at the end of each line of your rc.local.
To remove the annoying ^M try this command:
root@localhost#col -bx < rc.local > rc.local.good
