Good day Manny,

You might want to examine your Linux machine why it affected your network.
And also, make
sure that you only have 1 DHCP server on a subnet or else, it will screw up
your network.
Check also the IP address of your linux box. It's remote but possible that
it might be responding
to arp requests(conflict in ip address). With this, what happens is, traffic
gets redirected.

If it's ok with you, can you describe to us how your network was performing
when the linux
got connected?
