thanks for the heads-up, i forgot that a 1.44mb diskette could hold more if it was formatted differently. i used to have a windows freeware app that does this but the stability and dependability of floppy disks (being fragile to start with) deteriorates immensely. i used to go through 1 box of floppies within a week transferring data from home to school and vice versa. ;-) ciao!
