If you do not need to run Linux on the clients, but you just want to use the clients as vt100 terminals with which to telnet to the Linux/Unix server, then the most low-tech solution that fits nicely in one 1.44MB diskette is: FreeDOS + NCSA telnet PMana _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
