hi!
it doesn't need maildrop to set it up. it's plain postfix + courier + mysql according
to the author of the postfix + courier + mysql howto(2nd site you gave)
best regards...

hi rey!
youre right, there is a broken installation on both cyrus(sasl and imapd). i was able
to clarify it in each config.log. there are some gcc options that was not
identified/recognized but it went thru.
i know the first site that you refer, actually i already did the postfix + courier +
maildrop before and even install squirrel and horde/imp webmails. it's working fine
with me.
i like the web interface(account and domain management..) of the postfix + cyrus +
mysql thats why i tried it. i need this to manage virtuallyhosted domains.
btw, in addition of mysql, do i still need to install maildrop? would it be plain
postfix + courier + mysql only? i think i need it but i am not sure.
actually, i am contemplating on your suggestion then modify the web interface to suit
my reuiqrements.
thanks again...

Noel,
Without pushing you to move to courier... you might want to check
this out.
http://www.firstpr.com.au/web-mail/RH71-Postfix-Courier-Maildrop-IMAP/
or
http://kirb.insanegenius.net/postfix.html then you can setup squirrelmail
which is what i'm using.

The problem then would be postfix injecting the email to
cyrus. Try to check postfix-users archive... you might find your answer
there. Goodluck! {=)
