I just grabbed the latest Postfix tarball and indeed the default
master.cf comes with:
cyrus unix - n n - - pipe
flags=R user=cyrus argv=/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m ${extension} ${user}

Hehehe. Huwag na lang. I'll strip the -e from my master.cf as well, and
will test to make sure nothing breaks. What's interesting, though, is
that things work with the -e. Maybe thanks to backwards compatibility on
the part of cyrus?
