Forget sendmail.  It's slow, it's old, its monolithic, its insecure, and
its a resource hog.  Analogy: In the day and age of cutting edge hi tech
digital GSM GPRS Bluetooth WAP MMS capable cellphones, don't be caught
using an analog cellphone that comes with its own 2 Kilo bag and base
unit.  Sure it works, you can get to call, but its a burden to carry, it
quickly gets cloned, and the battery runs out after a few hours talk time.

Choose Qmail or Postfix.  I personally prefer postfix, and if you try it,
you'll see that all you need is to enable the 'always_bcc' setting of its
configuration file.
