the last time i gave sendmail a run was in 1997. i was a qmail convert, and
more recently i'm a postfix convert :)

i think more alternatives (to sendmail) did the whole industry good as
sendmail itself has changed to be a better/more secure system. i didn't even
know that sendmail doesn't run as root anymore until this thread came along!
