Sorry for the confusion. I mean to say the SAPdb back in 1998. The SAPdb in 
1998 will not run atop generic PC clones back then. It will only run on 
specially-configured IBM and Compaq PCs. The Germans also said back then we 
should upgrade our network to fiber-optic to improve latency for reasonable 
performance.

A lot of things have changed since 1998.
