I was thinking of LyX, and did take a brief look at it several months back. At that time, however, I was looking more for a word processor -- a hunt that has ended with both AbiWord and OpenOffice.org. In any event, I should take a closer look at LyX, as soon as I can get a port that'll install. The one that came with my ports has an script error, so maybe I should try freeports.org instead.
