True, but (for reasons cited) I'd strongly suggest that the
most-appropriate long-term solution is to get rid of the alias entirely.

Remember, the question I was addressing was "How can I copy files from
one directory to another without prompting me to overwrite existing files?"
I answered it as posed.  The question was not "How do I make it painless
to keep on doing that on future occasions?"
