6.2 doesn't have any support for USB at all, at least not unless you hack it and install a 2.4 kernel. 8.0 should do ok, just modprobe the usb_storage module and you should be alive. I've tried to use one with Red Hat 7.1 a while back, with hotplugging support. Works like a charm. Just plug it in and you'll be able to mount your Zip Disks on /dev/sda4 if there are no other SCSI devices on your system. -- Rafael R.
