oddly enough, i have had no problems whatsoever.. it's probably a driver issue. perhaps you are using an nvidia card with the closed source drivers? rh8 comes with a gcc3.2-compiled kernel. it has weird interactions with kernel binary modules that are compiled by gcc2.95-2. i rebuilt my rh8 kernel with gcc2.95-2 and all my instability problems went away. OTOH nvidia released drivers compiled with gcc3.2 which also solved the problem, albeit belatedly. --- Orlando Andico <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mosaic Communications, Inc. _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
