Scenario:
1. PC with Printer running Red Hat 8 and CUPS
2. PCs running Windows XP on different subnet
Requirement
1. Access printer via Windows XP
Solutions:
1. Run Samba on Red Hat 8 and add printer on Windows
- samba runs fine - can mount subdirs, etc. from PC within same subnet
- Windows XP clients cannot see PC with Red Hat 8
2. Run CUPS on Red Hat 8
- works locally
- cannot print from Windows XP clients
- WORKS ON MANDRAKE 9! [weird!]
Argh! Help. BTW, firewall set to NONE to make sure that everything
passes through but nooo... doesn't work. help.
