Firebird has "64-bit I/O" Linux versions, http://www.ibphoenix.com/main.nfs?a=ibphoenix&page=ibp_download#100 , that are supposed to allow you to have a single database file bigger that 2GB. Which kernel version did this feature start to become available and how does one enable it?
