uhmmm..makikisingit nga, although my load is
infenitisimaly small compared to you guys ( home squid,
also doubles as office squid tunnel when I'm not 
there:-)

%cat squid.conf:

cache_dir ufs /webcache 360 32 256

%df -h

/dev/hdg12            387M  340M   27M  93% /webcache

stays more or less the same as far as I know the past 
months...

Using Redhat 7.2 There is an annoying message
injecting "disk full" messages as mail root@, 
IF you are near full on the partition.  this may
be from a package called diskcheck.  Can disable 
that by editing /etc/cron.hourly/diskcheck (add squid
partition to the list in there)

nice to know about the fragmentation stuff :-)
