pahabol, if yur going for ftp or wget, usually you can get away of entering the password by hardcoding the user/passwd in ~/.netrc file. a lot of net utilities still understands that (I know wget does since i did something similar to your problem recently). gotta protect the ~/.netrc file though (file mode of rw------- at least). # sample ~/.netrc machine xyz.yourdomain.com login joe password 12joex I stongly suggest ssh though, although wget worked fine for me. wget is also cool in that you can make it skip files that it thinks have not changed ( by timestamps and filesizes). jondz _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
