i tried this too using turbo pascal when i was in the 5th grade. unfortunately, i didn't have the adequate attention span then to be able to complete the game, but i was able to come up with a "game" that let you move around the screen (a smiley face as your 'character') and gather points by getting little dots. no AI or enemies coz i couldn't figure out then to do that. now however, i've outgrown the gamer in me, and the computer is more of a tool for work than for play. i have the attention span, but not the motivation. that's why i think it doesn't matter if my linux box wasn't set up to run the games like warcraft, starcraft, or neverwinter nights. coz i dont play anymore -- i prefer sports, like real sports like basketball nowadays. -- -=[mikhail]=- aka Dean Michael C.
