Quoting [EMAIL PROTECTED] ([EMAIL PROTECTED]):

1. I _didn't_ define sysadmin, but am game for trying, if you like:
Sys-ad-min, noun: Person bearing primary operational responsibility for
a *ix or similar host.

2. Overly broad for _what_? Does reality not meet your needs?

> I know lots of knowledgeable users who grunt at the very mention of
> "shell."

So, what's your point?

I notice that you comprehensively ignored _my_ point. Which is fine: I
can live with that. But what I will not do is rearrange my personal
agenda just because you have a cause that you're beating the drums for.

> Many people are certainly willing to learn a great deal, but not
> necessarily about the system as a system.

So, I wish them luck. Do you have anything to say that is of interest
to me? I've already told you my preferences in whom to help, and why.
You seem to be spending a lot of time ignoring that.

> > [...] But you knew that before you asked, right?

So, you're duly informed. You're welcome.

The above sentence is composed of the traditional quantities of nouns,
verbs, adjectives, articles, and prepositions, but doesn't seem to have
any actual semantic content.

If you're trying to ask me to adopt someone else's priorities and
viewpoint, the answer is the same as before: Thanks, but no.

Sucks to be you, then. Too bad, so sad.

Are you quite done trying to get other people to do work you say you
lack the time and money for?
