why bother when you can install woody with the 2.4 kernel (bf24)? you just
have to use the first disk (either debian-30r1-i386-binary-1, or
debian-30r1-i386-binary-1_NONUS), which lets you select which kernel to
boot. i, for one used the same disk (debian-30r1-i386-binary-1_NONUS) to
install debian on my servers.
