Hello,

Im not saying you cannot boot using 2.4, hehe. Debian rocks! Oh well. :)
If he cant figure it out to boot using the 2.4 kernel. But he can boot using
2.2 with scsi support. I hope that's clear! The problem here is he can't
load the scsi module. Alternatives is one way you can fix a problem, just
one way. :)

But if he can now make a way to boot the 2.4 w/ aha1542 module edi better!
:)

IMHO :)

Thanks,
Louie

why bother when you can install woody with the 2.4 kernel (bf24)? you just
have to use the first disk (either debian-30r1-i386-binary-1, or
debian-30r1-i386-binary-1_NONUS), which lets you select which kernel to
boot. i, for one used the same disk (debian-30r1-i386-binary-1_NONUS) to
install debian on my servers. -adrian
