Speaking of PageMaker clones and what-not, I was trying to look for one
months ago when I first shifted to Linux. The best I found (AFAIK) is
named Scribus[1] and isn't a clone per se, but it is a page layouting
program. However, Scribus is still pretty new, and so needs a lot of
development to get to at least the feature level of (say) PageMaker 5.0.

(FWIW, I have tried Scribus, I have used PageMaker 6.5 upwards, as well
as Adobe InDesign (woah, that one was el-neato)).
