actually, no.  read it again.  he dualboots.  the data is on the 
linux partition and he wants to access it when booted into
windows on the same box.

another possibility here is, run linux all the time, and run windows
under win4lin or vmware.

i like win4lin.  vmware is too expensive and my computers aren't
fast enough (and my boss already bought win4lin for me :).  the
only reason to dualboot would be to play games, since win4lin
doesn't do directx or directsound.  can't afford to upgrade to the
new windows media player either, since that uses direct* and
so it won't work on win4lin :).  fortunately xmms and xine
are good enough and i don't use (heck, i don't even know about)
the more esoteric features of WMP.

if he were to use win4lin or vmware, then he'd have the
benefit of both OSes without the hassle of rebooting.
