Hi optimus,
Yes, I think so, we can use it as a nearly drop-in replacement to
commercial SAP and ERP/CRM. The Compiere ERP/CRM front end Application
Server is based purely 100% Java (J2EE), while the back end RDBMS Server is
based on Oracle9i Database Release2 Enterprise Edition for Linux (Red Hat
Linux 7.2,7.3, 8, AS & ES, other Distro using 2.4 kernel). We installed and
tested it with our Test Lab Machine here in our office in Laguna Technopark
and it works fine upto now. We are also planning to port it into Postgresql
or MySQL for our rdbms development because our company is expecting to
develop it using the OpenSource Project.
God bless and have a nice day!
Fyi,

I've been hearing that Compiere's cool. Is it really cool? What modules do
you
use? How many users do you serve? Was it easy to install and administer? Is
Compiere feature-filled enough as a replacement for SAP?
thanks in advance,
optimus
