IBM has signified their intentions to sponsor mini Lectures and events. If the intention is to hold a major conference, we need to get more than just one sponsor, and this is a HUGE undertaking in terms of logistics and financial requirements. > I also hear Fujitsu is in the Linux scene in the country, though they seem to > rather low-profile. Embedded solutions, I think. Maybe they can help as well. Yes they can, and so many others. The point is the 'who' will organize this, as traditionally, PLUG people work only on volunteer basis on their free time. This makes it next to impossible for PLUG to be the prime mover of such an undertaking. This requires the well oiled machinery of a group that is used to event organization and coordination. PLUG people can surely volunteer for the technical parts. Now if a group of PLUGgers can volunteer around 2 months doing nothing but FULL TIME work on this, please step up and let's start talking. > > You've seen and taste it all, veterans...and I guess you guys can help. > > Yeah, no fair hogging all the fun during your "good ol' days". ;) You there > Migs (Paraz)? Doc Mana? Horacio? The good old days can be here again. It just takes the right people with enough spare time to dedicate.
