They're free, which is IMO the best thing they've got going for them. :)
Most other anti-virus services are only open to those who pay for
expensive proprietary software.  In my experience using them they update
quickly enough to prevent Windows mail viruses from becoming a major
fiasco in a large network.  Dunno if they can do squid scanning though.
