Well, I'm not sure if Squid even supports virus scanning (someone please
correct me if I'm wrong).  However, nothing in Clamav is limited to mail
scanning, it doesn't even have a built-in system for interfacing to
MTA's, you need to use AMaViS for that.  You can actually run it on a
file and it will check that file in its signature database.  If it is
possible to run it on Squid, then I think that the system requirements
just shot way up...
