Welcome to the PLUG, Inc. mailing list. Actually, PLUG is also a registered non-stock, non-profit organization. Unfortunately, it's been a while when PLUG was able to conduct a FREE technical seminar since most of the officers (and that includes me) were and still busy with their own endeavors. I admit that there are several projects that are still pending and these are: [1] PLUG ID [2] Technical Seminar [3] Election of Officers [4] PLUG portal [5] PLUG certifications (and probably PLUG Certified Hardware) [6] and others that I forgot as of this moment. For the PLUG ID, we are accepting designs of the ID and whoever wins automatically the designer will receive a FREE ID and membership. For the Technical Seminar, we still don't have a list of topics for the seminar. Maybe, we'll need to have a simple poll for the topics. What I have in mind are the following: a. Introduction to GNU/Linux and Open Source Software b. Office and Multimedia c. GNU/Linux Systems and Network Administration d. Open Source Development e. Systems and Network Security For the Election of Officers, maybe we'll schedule this on the same day when we conduct the technical seminar. For the PLUG portal, we're looking for volunteers who will help us maintain the portal (webmasters), themes, writers, projects, etc. We are using the XOOPS portal <http://www.xoops.org/>. If anyone interested to help us these projects, please e-mail me privately. Thanks. --- MARVIN T. PASCUAL E-mail: mpascualATqsr.com.ph Tel. No. +63 2 4262172 Mobile No. +63 919 3141254 Yahoo!
