Hi Manny, guys, Loooong time no post. :) To add to this just for the archive, if you have a multi-format card reader, you need to have "Probe all LUNs" set in your kernel config to be able to access all slots (sdb1, sdc1, etc.). I think there was some previous discussion here re: USB devices. I have a semi-complete USB device monitor tray app (detection, sorting by type, mount points, "now safe to remove...") "gathering dust" somewhere on my drive. Would anyone be intested in my finishing and publishing it? It's only for KDE though.
