Primarily, yes :) Also, using Mandrake's built-in URPMI software installer, it becomes a lot easier to install software (just like Debian's apt-get). So there is no pressing demand to install all (or most) of the software, as it could be done later either in command line URPMI mode or graphical mode. You guys should try Mandrake Community Ten. Unlike other $$commercial$$ systems out there that become slower (on the same hardware) as you increase versions) Mandrake actually performs faster as you upgrade it. :) I've literally experienced it as i've upgraded from 9.1, to 9.2 to 10...
