Depends on what you are running. In general we run around 10-15 clients on a uniprocessor P4-2.6 GHz 1GB RAM box. Sound very conservative, but when you run stuff like openoffice and kde, you need to be conservative. > 2. Do you serve graphics intensive applications like OpenOffice.org? OpenOffice is not graphics intensive; it's resource intensive :). The nice thing is that when you share OOorg in a Linux Thin client environment, only the first user that runs OOorg suffers the 'load time' penalty. Other users from then on will load OOorg in a snap! GIMP is graphics intensive, and shouldn't be run on an LTSP environment. -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
