Actually, PLDT DSL's download speed isn't bad at all. My home
connection which is supposedly 256 kbits/s gives me consistent
FTP/HTTP download speeds of 30 kbytes/s (~240 kbits/s) at any time of
the day. My guess is that those DSL users with bad experiences
actually have bad wiring/equipment (in-house or telco-side).

Their bandwidth limiter seems to be very strict because it never ever
exceeds this rate anymore. No more 2 MBPS bursts like in 3 yrs ago, as
I said in my other post. Btw, I do not work for PLDT DSL. ;-)

PLDT DSL seems to have weird DNS problems lately though, but this is a
different matter.
