Actually, PLDT DSL's download speed isn't bad at all. My home connection which is supposedly 256 kbits/s gives me consistent FTP/HTTP download speeds of 30 kbytes/s (~240 kbits/s) at any time of the day. My guess is that those DSL users with bad experiences actually have bad wiring/equipment (in-house or telco-side). Their bandwidth limiter seems to be very strict because it never ever exceeds this rate anymore. No more 2 MBPS bursts like in 3 yrs ago, as I said in my other post. Btw, I do not work for PLDT DSL. ;-) PLDT DSL seems to have weird DNS problems lately though, but this is a different matter. -bodgie -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
