PLDT is awash with bandwidth, even for their DSL subscribers. They've just proven that with their "glitches" now and then, when they've had to (temporarily) remove the cap to fix some problems.
Destiny Cable, surprisingly enough, has excellent bandwidth performance in the day (4AM-8AM). I've been metering my connection since it came back May 26, and I've seen huge spikes to 250KBps (that's almost like 2Mbps), sustained at 180KBps. I was surprised to find this out because I finished downloading system updates, dev tools, and a number of other packages in just under 5 minutes. I highly doubt that they were cached, as they only hit the public FTP servers very recently. Akamai's hosting may have something to do with it also, but that's a welcome addition. And probably the exodus of many Destiny subscribers in the area.
