yup,  that is if they have the guts to do it in the first place. most
of the things that account for the 'reported' increase of Linux TCO is
the amount needed to retrain personnel. i think that is a one-time
expense compared to the expense required to update the version of a
proprietary platform/software. this is an example of a short-term goal
being evaluated against a long-term one.

and since microsoft is funding the get the facts campaign then it
would follow that the statis tical figures will be statistically
leaning for them. its hard to get a unbiased statistical research
company nowadays because they all require *cough, cough* funding
*cough, cough*.

just like i said, SSDD. i dont mean we should stop asking our govt to
consider open source, i just think that this is already old news.
