While the list is still hot on the topic of hacking the kernel (although mentioned in passing), anyone here already have experience under his/her belt on the kernel proper? Specifically writing drivers for it?
FWIW, I've already downloaded Linux Device Drivers, 3rd ed. (PDF), and it is quite informative. However, nothing beats talking to someone who's already been there and done that :D I don't mind being reached off-list, BTW. :) -- JM Ibanez -- A good world needs knowledge, kindliness, and courage; it does not need a regretful hankering after the past or a fettering of the free intelligence by the words uttered long ago by ignorant men. -- Bertrand Russell ----- http://www.livejournal.com/~jmibanez/ http://www.mycgiserver.com/~butiki/ -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List plug@lists.q-linux.com (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
